Introduction

Hash2TV is a web application that lets you select particular content from the social network (Instagram and Twitter for now) and render it in a lower third ready for implementing in a TV broadcasting software.

Login

In order to login you can use your own social account in the particular social network. For instagram click on the "Login with Instagram" button on the top navigation bar and for twitter "Login with Twitter".

Create a show

When you login you are redirected to your landing page which is a list of your shows. To create a new show you can click on the blue button on the top right. A form will appear and you have to fill it out. Remember that the hashtag is permanent and you won't be able to change it once set.

You have two types of Files Structuring. The first is the "Default" which is going to return you all the files in a directory.
The second is called "Parallel" and is used with a specific TV software provided by a company called with this name. The engine will render folders with 7 pics in each one and will name them 1,2... (n+1).

The two formats you can choose for the show are PAL Widescreen and HD 720p. They represent the resolution that the output files will have for this show. The first is 1024x576px and the second is 1280x720px.

Approve social post

For both Instagram and Twitter shows you have 2 panels. The left one is the social stream and the right one is your bucket of approved content. When you like something from the social stream you can click on the checkbox in the top right corner of the post and then click the "Approve" button on the top. You can approve many posts at once.

Edit approved post

In order to edit a post you need to approve it first. Once approved you should have a pencil icon near the post. Just click on it and you will be able to edit all of the information from the social post (Note: This has been done to give you an option to censorship the content! Do not misuse it!).

Render PNG graphics

Rendering the posts in the lower third is very easy. Just click the button "Render All" and the system will return you a zip package with the finished composites. If you need to render a single post at the very right moment you should click on the small icon that appears near the approved post.
